Greetings!
We're glad to share this news with you. On August
16, 2004, current Korean Madonna University's students
came out to the TOBA office and held a new student's
orientation for those who planned on attending MU
this fall semester. There were 35 people in attendance
that day, including current MU students, new students,
and new students' parents.
There was a 3-hour Q & A session, which current
MU students helped with. They gave detailed explanation
about things the new students might have questions
about regarding tuition and fees, dormitory, getting
credit for courses studied at TOBA, transferable
units, on campus part-time jobs, internships,
and etc. We think the meeting helped answer many
of the questions the new students and their parents
might have had before leaving Seoul.
We have not heard any complaints from the current
MU students, parents of MU students, the students
in Korea who are attending/attended MU, nor MU
graduates.
Welcome to MU Korean Student Association!
After the orientation, the 12 current students
attending MU had a meeting and they decided to
establish a MU Korean Student Association(KSA).
They voted Kim, Yoon-Wook(business administration),
who enrolled during 2002 winter semester, to be
the president of KSA. He is a studious student
who lives at the dorm, and has a sibling who attends
MU as well.
In the future, if a difficult problem arises
for a Korean MU student and she/he requests help
from TOBA or MU, feel free to contact Kim, Yoon-Wook
for assistance. After discussing the issue with
other members of the KSA, he will then ask TOBA
or MU for help. His request for help will most
likely be a problem other Korean students at MU
face, so if the MU staff can help him out, we'd
be thankful.
If a Korean MU student transfers to another school
in the States or comes back to school after taking
a leave of absence, please contact the president
of KSA. After he and the KSA members have a meeting,
they will make suggestions to MU. If done this
way, the Korean students will be able to continue
studying at MU until graduation, and we think
it will be helpful to MU. * Please see attached

Sincerely,
Hon Sok Park, Vice President
